Ursula Bauer has a love for the weird, wild, and decidedly odd that touches everything she writes. She enjoys crossing genres and combining elements of speculative fiction such as magic and urban fantasy with romance, and blending that with unusual bits of science, history and mythology.

Her first published book, Immortal Protector, is a contemporary paranormal romance that blends in elements of urban fantasy, and takes place in a modern world that exists in tandem with the world of myth. The Gods of legend are real, and most are united under an ages old agreement not to mess too much with the mortals lest they wreck the delicate threads that hold the dimension together. Eternity must be preserved at all costs, or so the binding agreement says, and the rules of the game must be obeyed. Of course, everyone likes to bend the rules and push the boundaries, and that's where the fun begins, the trouble starts, and the mortal world falls into harms way.

There's nothing she loves to write more than a powerful hero who'll do what he must to get the job done no matter the cost, except perhaps, for an equally powerful heroine who's just as ready to step up to the plate, save the world and claim her love.

When not writing, she can be found reading through her ever growing TBR piles, haunting local bookstores and e-book sites, and catering to the demands of her seventeen pound Maine Coon cat. In addition to being an avid romance reader, she's a dedicated RPG and Sci-Fi geek, and suffers from a long time addiction to the Star Wars saga.
